Number of camera points
The biggest factor is usually the number of cameras. More points need more cameras, cable, connectors, power planning, recorder channels and installation time.
Camera type and quality
A basic indoor camera costs less than a weatherproof outdoor camera, higher megapixel camera, audio camera, color night vision camera, PTZ camera or IP POE camera. Choose the camera according to the actual viewing distance and use-case.
Cable route and installation difficulty
A clean installation may need longer CAT6 or coaxial cable, PVC pipe, casing, clips, boxes, rack work or difficult wall/ceiling routing. The easier the cable route, the simpler the installation cost.
Recorder and hard disk
NVR, XVR and DVR recorders are selected by camera type and channel count. Hard disk capacity depends on resolution, number of cameras and recording days. A low HDD capacity may reduce the usefulness of the system.
Support and handover
A professional quotation should mention what is included: app setup, password guidance, basic training, warranty information and after-sales support. Compare full scope, not only package headline price.

Frequently asked questions
Can you quote CCTV price without visiting?
A rough estimate can be shared from camera count and location type, but final quotation is better after understanding cable route and storage requirement.
Is the cheapest CCTV package the best option?
Not always. Cheap packages can miss storage, cable quality, waterproofing, app setup or future upgrade needs.
What details should I send for quotation?
Send location type, camera points, indoor/outdoor count, recording days, mobile viewing need and photos or a simple site sketch.
